To Savanna
"Nose: intense and complex. Spicy and fruity. A nice blend of peach, sour cherry and papaya and some lemon zest. In addition, a slightly vinegary note. It has some sulfuric, and some wax to it. The sweetness goes a bit towards burnt sugar. I find vanilla and spiciness from cinnamon. Cherry wood and leather round out. Nice.Palate: unmistakably Savanna! Intense and full-bodied, artificial fruity and spicy. Slightly bitter with raspberry, sweet cherry and sour cherry in equal measure. Iodine and sulfur are present. Bitter sweetness from persipan. In addition, also slightly toasty-leathery.I quite like this one."
"Doesn't pick me up - unbalanced and inconsequential. Very dull, the nose is rather closed. Not much happens on the palate either - a little toffee, yellow fruits, some tannin that I would assign to tropical fruits, but mainly spicy heat and toasty barrel notes. Unfortunately, the rum does not seem to me completely balanced and overall quite simply too boring."
"A good, but not outstanding Savanna.Metallic notes, honeycomb, very slightly toasty and some papaya."
