To Caroni
"I'm not surprised anymore by Caroni releases by Velier. This 1996 is magnificent with round notes perfectly balancing typical Caroni profile. Astonashing rum 😍"
"Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Already on the rather tart side, yet the vintage-typical profile of the 1996 Caronis is still recognizable."
"Wonderfully solid nose, polish and wood maturity en masse. With a little water, liquid Fishermans Friends. Not very dirty. Oily and dense in the mouth. A chemical factory with caramel. Spicy and complex. Then wood and caramel on the finish. A great Caroni. Tar and the burnt notes, however, very restrained. More of this please..."
"On the nose, this Caroni shows restraint. In the mouth, however, it is already very pleasing. It is extremely sweet. Caramelllllll. If you didn't know that Luca Gargano would never add artificial sugar, well, you could almost question it here... After a bit of time in the glass, this rum softens. The alcohol is elegantly integrated. If the rum did not cost a small fortune, this Caroni would definitely go into my collection."
