How does this rum taste?
- Great value for money
- Distinct citrus aroma
- Easy sipping
The Guadeloupe rum from the Bonne Mère distillery, bottled by Transcontinental Rum Line, is a column-distilled expression crafted in 2014 from molasses. Aged for 4 years and bottled at 43% ABV, this limited release of 4348 bottles offers subtle citrus, apple, and pineapple aromas. Predominantly featuring notes of citrus, licorice, and honey, the palate is noted for its mellow character and brief finish. While praised for its value and easy sipping profile, some found it lacking in complexity and depth, deeming it more suitable as an approachable, everyday rum. Compared to other rums in the lineup, it appears reserved yet accessible to both connoisseurs and casual drinkers.

To Bonne Mère
"Very light in taste, color and smell. Citrus is quite distinct in the nose, not so dominant to the taste. One can easily sip it by itself or along to snacks, as it demands not much attention to itself. Quite short aftertaste."
