It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses and then aged for 23 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 63,1% and the mark is TMCG. A Caroni with a little extra soul in my mind. The barrel these were made from is definitely unique. Very few bottles made, unfortunately, but very good result in the end.
Nice Caroni profile, little bit mild for 1998 HTR
Sowohl in der Nase als auch am Gaumen mit einer etwas irritierenden milchig-süssen Note, die ich mit Creme-Brulée assoziiere. Dazu Holz, dunkle Gewürze (Lakritz, Piment), Rauchnoten, etwas Tabak. Die dreckigen Caroni-Noten sind vorhanden, aber vergleichsweise mild ausgeprägt, hier liegt der Fokus eher auf anderen herben Aromen. Überzeugt mich leider nicht so recht.
