Tasty & complex, perfect for Daiquiris ! Tropical fruits, really sweet though. Called for in tiki cocktails
Ich bin hier vorbelastet, da Stiggins mehr Einstieg in 'besseren Rum' war. Als Advokat für Transparenz im Gin war das hier ergo eine Erleuchtung in Sachen Rum - den ich bis dato halt als übersüßte und/oder aromatisierte Plörre kannte. Die Produktionsinfos hier waren also eine vielversprechende Erleuchtung. Und dabei bleibt es weiterhin. Ich liebe das Zeug. Super fruchtige Nase aber unaufdringlich. Butterig, Karamell und reife, echte Ananas in der Nase. Diese sähmige Süße dann auch im Mund, bevor dann die prickelnde Ananas durchkommt. Verschiedene Schichten Frucht und Süße zwischendrin. Absolute Wucht im Daiquiri oder Rumgroni. Nachtrag: super natürliche Ananas im Vergleich zu allem anderem am Markt. Bin immer wieder neu verliebt.
The nose has the expected big hit of pineapple but there are other fruit notes present. A butteryness which reminds me of younger Appleton Estate rums. The palate has green apple, vanilla, cream and a honey note all under the big hit of pineapple. The finish is quite short but nice. Pineapple with a hint of wood. Overall this is very good. Especially for a spirit drink. But no need for snobbery, I like this.
