TCRL Worthy Park Jamaica WP 2013
Opinion is split: some find a fruity, round sipper with piquant wood, others call it wild and quirky, with youthful WP funk. One to try if you enjoy green apple, spice, or herbaceous Jamaican rum.
Fresh, fruity Jamaican funk with quirky herbal undertones.

How does this rum taste?
- Fruchtig und sehr würzig
- exceptionally peculiar on the nose
- Pure Frucht Kaum Klebstoff
Worthy Park 2013 (TCRL) draws RumX members in with its "fruity, fresh" nose of green apple, pear, and pineapple, unfolding a palate that's rounder than expected—think tropical fruit, spice, and light wood. Some tasters latch onto quirky herbal or even feral notes ("vune smradlavych ponozek, ale chut dobra" - Richard Krupa), calling the rum both "youthful, raw, oily, sinewy" and "exceptionally peculiar on the nose" (Hogo Hobo). Smooth for its strength, it splits the room between easy sippers and fans of Jamaican punch.

"Solid WP"
"It’s still fine 6-9 months after opening but hasn’t improved. Both the TCRL line and WP are marques to approach with some caution and although I like this fine it’s nowhere close to great for the price. Tested side by side with the 2012 column still release that I reviewed earlier and was not impressed by. This is the pot still 2013 release and what a difference the distillation makes. The alcohol is nicely integrated and the flavor is rounded. Have been on the hunt for a new jamaican navy strength to switch up from smith & cross and this one will do the job nicely. Worthy park requires some caveat emptor and I will probably only buy their pot still releases from here on out. Very good navy rum and more elegant in flavor than the S&C."
"17.02.2019 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Light in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, light apple, light banana, light caramel, pineapple, faint herbal. Palate Round, fresh, light wood, apple, light coconut, banana, light caramel, light citrus, faint honey, light mint. Finish Long and warm, fresh, light wood, light citrus, light caramel, light mint, light herbal. Need to rest for a while to really open up."
"Typical WP ... Nose still ok .... on the palate rather nothing for me ! Somewhat tangy"
