How does this rum taste?
RumX members love its bright tropical fruit profile—pineapple, green apple and pear on the nose—leading to mango-vanilla sweetness and lively spice. At 57.18% it’s a punchy yet rounded Worthy Park, with ginger, black pepper and a dry, woody finish. Many enjoy it neat after a short rest; a few note herbal/solvent edges or heat. A popular pick with 55 reviews and strong buyer confidence.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 260,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

‘Hold on to your breeches’, because here the fetid meets the fecund. It is exceptionally peculiar on the nose and disarmingly strange. When I first tried it It actually made me laugh aloud. It smells (stinks) of new cheap tennis balls, gum shoes, blackened grass cuttings, and old cat lady. All of these olfactory objects float within a damp mist of icing sugar. It tastes like a rum version of the movie ‘Apocalypse Now’, one week before the revolutionary mad commander ceased radio contact from deep within the sweaty jungle, fifty clicks up the mekong delta, total tropical degeneracy and carefree decay. This is a ‘gunk-some green’ Worthy Park. It is very (very) youthful, raw, oily, sinewy in its saltiness, with capers, many verdant olives, seaweeds, creamed spinach, sweet furry lemons, weird fruits in a Chernobyl orchard, unfired peat, and fish glue. All of this is delivered upon a pillow soft viscosity. Welcome to Bonkertown, in the Jamaican Parish of Esterville. It is as Colonel Walter E. Kurtz said, “Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure”. But, his world was also imperfect, imbalanced, chaotic and impure. This rum is both, equally. For me this bottle is a special snapshot into a floridly charged sweet distillate mid-way through its hyper-jump from the still, enroute to barrel aged civilisation. WP 2013 LMDW is a super charged exotic embryo untempered by time. Unless you obsess over a slug traversing a razor, you won’t drink it all night, but you’ll probably lean in for a second measure with a wry chuckle. And, right at the end, after the salty funk fades, is a lingering finish of pre-set Turkish delight smeared on some bitter leaf. This tasty pour is alchemic idiosyncrasy

Solid Worthy Park here. Has a nose that is predominantly herbal, can't quite put my finger on which ones exactly. Also fresh and fruity. On the palate also predominantly herbs but also glue and (tropical) fruits. Alcohol could be better integrated.
