"This is a nice and kind of light on the typical Caroni notes and still intense at the same time. The nose herbal with banana and light notes of wood, rubber, tobacco and polish. The palate continues on the herbal note with some banana, nuts and vanilla trailed by wood, rae and runner. I get light bitter and salty note there as well. The finish is long and has wood, tar and vanilla to it."

"Too mild and with just weak Caroni profile ... Caroni je destilerie z Trinidadu, produkujici v dobe sve nejvetsi slavy rum, ktery se pridaval v pomeru 1:10 do namornickeho blendu. Byl totiz moc vyrazny a divny nez aby byl prijemny na jazyku. V roce 2000 destilerka skoncila s produkci a byla uzavrena. Az v roce 2010 se objevili degustatori, kteri si rum oblibili prave pro jeho specialni chut. A zajem rostl. Caroni patri do kategorie rumu "you need to try before you die". Doporucuji, Caroni je opravdu unikatni rum."
"Haaa, the nose is coming together. It is different from the traditional Caroni! This is more typed on wood and spices. All encompassed by the typical hydrocarbons of the distillery but in lesser measure than usual. It is more solvent. In mouth, big disappointment, it is very woody. Smoked-toasted woody even! There are plum, raisins, tobacco, mango in the background. But it's not greedy enough. The finish is rather average, very peppery and astringent. The nose was nice but the mouth not very interesting. This rum is much too smooth and monolithic!"
