7,8:On the nose, the first thing that strikes you is the soft wood, very pleasant. The orange, peaches are quickly mixed in with the caramel. This is a greedy profile, but it does not necessarily give the impression that the rum is sweet. This is even amplified by a candy side as well as a light almond note. After airing it becomes more bourbony, roasted with some smoky, iodine with quite strong metallic notes as addition and herbal-sage, spicy. 7,7: On the palate, it is confirmed: it is not sweet and it is good, buttery! We find again this very pleasant wood with some vanilla, discovered on the nose, some candied cherry, interesting canned/smoky peaches, some spiciness-nutmeg. One might think that its "small" 40° would make it a rum that lacks a bit of pep, but this is not the case.It is quite thick, syrupy and very smooth!Later it comes a bit yeasty, bitter and dry. 7,2:The finish is medium, still on the delicate woody note and there is also a touch of almond. It is also slightly peppery with gunpowder note.
