How does this rum taste?
- nice and fruity profile from nose to finish
- sweet and nice flower ish profile
- masser af frugt i både næse og smag
Worthy Park's "Sainte Catherine" 2007, bottled by Valinch & Mallet, gets talked up for its "nice and fruity profile from nose to finish" (Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰) and distinct notes of banana, wood, and spice. Expect an inviting fruit-forward aroma—think banana, pear, and floral hints—but with a palate shift towards bitter, spicy, and dry oak. Some find it "really sweet and nice flower ish" (Anders Bovien), while others note it leans "very bitter und holzig für das Alter" (Lukas Jäger), making for a divisive yet memorable tasting.

"I have had a short break from tasting because I felt like 2-3 days a week with tasting was a bit over the top. Back in shape again and we had a wonderful evening yesterday. This one was a very nice surprise and one I'd recommend to sip if you get the chance. A nice and fruity profile from nose to finish. "
"The nose has a lovely fruity profile (banana, pear and red fruits). Spices, wood and orange zest. Inviting for tasting... On the palate, it's a far cry from the nose. It's very dark! There's spice (cinnamon) but above all woodiness. The whole is very dry, earthy and relatively bitter (tannins). The finish is of the same ilk, very spicy (nutmeg-cardamom) with a hint of lemon zest. I was disappointed by this juice, clearly expecting more. This aromatic profile doesn't really suit me."
"Very bitter and woody for the age. Not bad, but a little unharmonious I find. Who likes it spicy and bitter, is right here, but for a Jamaican yet very unusual and also somehow not what I'm looking for in such a rum"
"I was hoping for more, relatively simple profile. spicy, cinnamony, warm woody and very dry and relatively bitter.... slightly musty furry pear, cardamom, nutmeg and lemon zest, as well as a certain roasty maltiness... alcohol could be a little better integrated, but on the whole okay."
