TBRC Clarendon Secret Distillery #3 SFJE
Fruity nose, decent value, alcohol not perfectly integrated.
Classic Clarendon tropics on the nose: mango, banana, spice. Alcohol is a sticking point, but good fruit and roasted notes still offer appeal. One to try if you like your rum on the fruity, slightly raw side.

How does this rum taste?
Clarendon’s Secret Distillery #3 SFJE, bottled by That Boutique-Y Rum Company, brings together a punch of yellow fruits—banana and mango lead the way, with a roasted undertone and sprinkles of spice. The nose catches most praise: Skyfly calls it “sehr interessanter Clarendon,” while Timo Groeger notes “überwiegend gelbe Früchte wie Banane und auch Mango.” On the palate, this rum leans to varnish and young wood, with warmth and a touch of herbal character. Alcohol integration splits opinion—Thunderbird finds it “nicht perfekt eingebunden,” while others remark “thin and alcoholic” (Jack M). Price-to-quality appears decent, though complexity doesn’t reach Clarendon’s highest peaks.

To Clarendon
A good average Clarendon with good PLV! He combines all the classic flavors, only the alcohol is not perfectly integrated! Thus, it suppresses the full development of its quite good assets
#4193 I'd say price to quality is very good on this release. Intense on the nose after resting but in good way. Fruity with some varnksh/polish in the back. Lightly dry on the palate with a nice roasted note. Draws nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some light herbal notes as well as some ginger. A big thank you to Thunderbird for this sample swap 😊
Quite good in approach. However, there are still some things missing.
