How does this rum taste?
- Good value for money
- Smooth and drinkable
- Balanced citrus and vanilla notes
Ron Zacapa Solera Centenario Ambar is a Guatemalan rum distilled from molasses and aged for less than 12 years. Notably, it exhibits a fruity, citrus aroma, complemented by notes of vanilla and caramel. Its palate reveals citrus, woody tones, honey, and subtle sugarcane sweetness, making it an enjoyable everyday rum. While often compared to its older Zacapa counterparts, users find it moderately spiced and less sweet, with a smooth profile suitable for diverse palates. Priced affordably, it stands out as a good value option, particularly appreciated for its lower sweetness level. Though some note its simplicity, many commend its pleasant drinkability.

"Pleasantly lightly sweetened for a Zacapa. Nice vanilla, a little wood and slightly spicy. A good all-rounder for the price!"

"Simple rum, bit boring, rum for the masses."

"Nice everyday rum, easy to drink is the motto here. Spicy, vanilla and a little woody, rather dry, hardly sweet, a little fruit. Pleasant spiciness, but not tangy. Simply round, mild. Nothing extraordinary, but still quite tasty. I didn't pay 30 euros for the liter bottle in Duty Free, so the price/performance ratio is great. Of course, it doesn't come close to the 23-year-old, but at a reasonable price you can confidently strike."

"Fruity, fresh, similar to the Limitada. This impression is confirmed on the palate by the citrus component. Its shorter storage time is noticeable due to its clear alcohol presence at the beginning, but this quickly fades."
