“Strong, very aromatic blend, in which, according to my impression, the PM portion predominates, especially on the nose, which I like quite a bit. Really solid rum, full of character, but can not hold a candle to the AN and SWR of El Dorado. Update 2022-11-28: First impression fully confirmed at second tasting.”

“First dominates PM - licorice, green apple, anise, oak and strong mocha. If you let him breathe, comes the SVW portion with caramel and some coconut. Then a nice lovely perfume note at the end. Very complex, balanced, interesting, alcohol barely noticeable.Warm, full-bodied and oily in the mouth. Very good!Epic finish.Great tropical ripened Demerara!!! But I must confess that the 1996 Enmore or the Albion excite me a notch more. 🥲 For PM fans a must.”

“I've been wanting to test it for a while. It is very good. On the nose, the dying port reigns supreme with its wet wood and doesn't let the diamond show its nose too much... In the mouth, more greediness than expected, the Prune and the chocolate are there, with a whole dose of spices. For me it remains however much less nice than the top trio: Sheldon/diamond CBH/Albion. First of all because it goes a bit in all directions, and it is less pleasant to taste, simply.”

“Being used to high standards of El Dorado, I'm quite disappointed here. It's a herbal style of Guyana rums and it seems it's just not my preferred style. It's a bit sharp, rich and multi-layered. Herbal, floral and molasses expression converge to a typical coffee-cocoa finish.”

“Au nez un profil Guyana dont je ne raffole pas. De la reglisse, un boisé rôti, et du tabac. En bouche une finesse et une douceur surprenante, superbe ! “The nose is aromatic, we find banana, spices, tobacco, wet wood ... typical of Port Mourant which takes the lead. But we find a more fruity profile (banana, raisins) which comes from the SVW. The nose is encouraging. On the palate, the disappointment, the wet wood, the smoky-toasted-woody-iodized, the spices ... in fact the flavors that I like so much on the PM are pushed by this SVW. We find caramel, banana, prunes ... which makes this mix unstable. The finish is rather sweet and fruity with a touch of freshness on mint-anise.”
