How does this rum taste?
Reviewers are especially enthusiastic about Redoutable’s rich complexity—many praise the balance of dark chocolate, coconut, and vanilla, alongside a woody backbone. Notes of spice and candied orange also stand out, with a dry, lingering finish. Some enjoy it as a contemplative sipper, letting it open up in the glass, while others note its power at 61% ABV. This is a repeat buy for many and a Foursquare highlight.

Wonderful rum from the Foursquare distillery! Spicy, full-bodied and delicious. In the nose surprise floral notes, which I did not know from Foursquare so. From the profile it goes towards really good Tropical Guyana Column! Very good!
Yummy! Really good, would love to A-B test this one against the Plenipotenziario one day. Still good on it’s own and really glad that I have more of those precious drops. - Just as good on a Tuesday 😋 - And on a Monday too 🤪 - Long time sine last time, still really good.
Madeira barrel + Barbados = great pleasure. Chocolate, honey, caramel, wine, barrel, all kinds of fruit. Very balanced, complex and very round. For me, one of the best Foursquare ECS I've had in a glass so far.
Yes, the end of the day and a real highlight. This Foursquare has vanilla, caramel, coconut and glue on the nose. Continues on the palate. Thanks Tim for the sample, very tasty.
