“Wonderful rum from the Foursquare distillery! Spicy, full-bodied and delicious. In the nose surprise floral notes, which I did not know from Foursquare so. From the profile it goes towards really good Tropical Guyana Column! Very good!”

“Ce Foursquare dit « redoutable » débute avec nez intense et vif qui rappelle la Barbade sous toutes ses formes : noix de coco, banane, fruits secs, épices douces, boisé gourmand, caramel, sucre brun et touche de colle viennent stimuler les narines. Ce n’est certes pas une surprise, mais le profil est rond, puissant et bien élaboré. L’attaque en bouche se veut plus intense sur le fruit, les épices et le bois. On remarquera la grosse dose sucrée et caramélisée si caractéristique de chez Foursquare et quii donne ce profil très gouleyant, mais non pas moins expressif. Les notes de noix, de chocolat noir, de cuir donnent de la profondeur en bouche. L’alcool est bien intégré. On retrouve une finale longue et chaleureuse, bien épicée et rôtie sur le fût, la muscade, la vanille, le poivre, le piment, le toast et le sucre brûlé. Viennent par la suite des arômes de nougat, de caramel, de miel, de fruits secs, de banane et de noix de coco, puis du chocolat. Un joli Foursquare qui allie rondeur et intensité avec brio.”

“I just picked up this one with a trunk full of other rums yesterday and we just had to sample it in the evening. I have to admit that we had to sample it twice, just to make sure we weren't wrong :-) The nose is wonderful and fruity with vanilla and brown sugar. In the back there is notes of the barrel and some flowers. The palate is very complex and well balanced and continues the nose with fruits and chocolate. The i get oak and way back some polish or varnish. The finish is very long, warm and has roasted barrel and in the back some marzipan.”
