I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
I'm amazed at how well these rums are doing in general. More floral notes on this one in comparison, but the fruits and spice are very well balanced. Only a light touch of wood.
A rum that I began loving after a while. At the beginning it was just good, but progressing with the bottle my appreciation increased. It seemed impossible to me that some 5 days of ageing could have been any effect, but actually they just reduced the sharpness of the rum making it more round preserving in the meantime the sugarcaney profile.
The rhum is very fine bubbly in the glass. The nose is complex and fresh. The taste drops a little, but is still complex. The finish is long and intense. The cane sugar and lime in the Ti Punch support the rhum and bring out the floral notes fully, with a slight alcoholic sharpness. This is already a special Ti Punch. The price of € 69 is already in the upper segment.
Très frais il saute aux narines. En bouche hyper souple le goûté de la poire domine j’ai l’impression de boire une poire williams. Avec un petit goût salin qui tire vers un alcool anisé comme du ouzo. En final j’ai de l’abricot sèché.
