How does this rum taste?
- Sehr fruchtig und frisch, Bananen und Apfel Noten
- Lovely, vanilla and cocoa notes with mikd spiciness
- Ein sehr blumiger und bunter Charakter
Arcane Extraroma Grand Amber is a sweet, fruit-forward rum from Mauritius, drawing in RumX members with big banana, coconut, and vanilla notes, rounded out by sugarcane freshness. For some, it's "sehr fruchtig und frisch, Bananen und Apfel Noten" (RumX user), while others find the sweetness and artificial edge hard to miss—Skyfly notes "Banana und Kokos sind bei diesem Rum stets im Vordergrund." Expect a short to medium finish, with the intensity of tropical fruit at the nose and a sometimes divisive dose of added sugar.

To Grays
"Much too sweet for me and nothing I can recommend. Aromas of caramel, vanilla and spices is recognizable. At the palate it’s very sweet with flavors of fruits, banana, ginger, caramel and vanilla together with a certain roundness."
"I wonder if there are artificial flavors involved here, because my taste tells me it's spiced rum. But by far not the worst I've tried. The usual vanilla flavor with banana and coconut"
"Had expected more. A note of banana, coconut and tropical fruit on the nose, then the same on the palate. A very fruity rum, but too fruity for me. I also find the finish too long with a bitter aftertaste."
"Ultra-dosed “rum” that is only recommendable as a dessert liqueur or poured over ice cream (delicious btw). During aging about HALF of the content of the barrel for this rum is literally sugar syrup. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions about the outcome for its flavor and how sweet it is. The bottle, however, is a triumph. Looks phenomenal."
