How does this rum taste?
- Smoky, rich flavor
- Unique and bold
- Perfect for meat lovers
Boulet de Canon 9 is a unique rum bottled by Compagnie des Indes, boasting a high ABV of 46%. Notable for its pronounced smoky aroma, the rum presents intense meaty and bacon-like flavors, enhanced by woody and peaty undertones. While some appreciate its bold and experimental profile, others find it overwhelming. It appeals to those fond of smoky, meat-infused flavors, resembling bacon or grilled meat. However, its heavy smokiness and unorthodox taste limit its appeal to niche palates. Ideal for adventurous rum enthusiasts seeking a distinct tasting experience.

"liquid Black Forest ham to drink, extremely round and palatable and definitely a great thing for all meat lovers. makes a mega bacon old fashioned and is absolutely not suitable for vegans 🤣🤤🥓🐖🔥🍖🥩 definitely one of my favorite boulets so far! 😍 But you really have to be up for it🤣"
"Waow quelle bombe! On se croit à côté d’un BBQ grâce à la technique du Fat Wash utilisé avec de la grasse de viande à BBQ. Extrêmement bien équilibré on reste sur des marqueurs rhums. Belle réussite!"
"Wow, very special rum. Who threw bacon and charred wood into the barrel :-) The smoky aromas mask a lot. Here and there some caramel and vanilla come through, but otherwise it seems like an experiment. Not really my cup of tea."
"Almost harmless after Boulet's 11. On the nose, of course, smoky, toasty, bacony. You can definitely smell the sweet, aromatic fat. But there is also some vanilla and a slight hint of lemon (almost like washing-up liquid). There is also some old tobacco. Also strongly smoky, bacony and roasted on the palate. A little peppery and slightly caraway, but also with a vegetal sweetness of red bell pepper. I also find some tobacco. All in all, something you don't need, but which is definitely appealing to try."
