How does this rum taste?
This Belize Rum, bottled by Compagnie des Indes, is a 13-year-old cask strength spirit distilled from molasses at the Travellers distillery in Belize. With a robust ABV of 62.1%, this limited edition release of only 285 bottles offers a multifaceted aroma profile, featuring raisin, dried fruit, and cinnamon, alongside notes of burnt sugar and alcohol. Its complex palate showcases full-bodied flavors, accented by black pepper, roasted tones, and a sweet gingerbread note. Users appreciate its balanced integration of alcohol and peppery finish, though some feel it lacks familiarity or distinctiveness. This rum's layered complexity and the skilled craft behind its creation make it a noteworthy selection for enthusiasts.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
The few extra years have done the Belize really well. Great rum!
A see exciting, clearly complex and more intense Belize or as a friend says "tastier" than other representatives from Belize! geil!beautiful Eigensüße, abgefahrene Florale note like elder (?!) and in addition all these overcooked fruits and spices like fruit bread with a subtle freshness and toastiness, very very cool...🤤😍🇧🇿what's really freaky is the slight bitter and fresh acidity in the finish, bit like cassis and dark chocolate.... really good!
Since I started working for Compagnie des Indes, this is by far the biggest slap in the face I've ever taken!
