Summary
The Trinidad rum is a limited release from the Caroni distillery in Trinidad, bottled by Compagnie des Indes. It was distilled in 1998 and aged for 22 years before being bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 57.5%. A pretty good Caroni but the price does not match the quality. I know the Caroni barrels are running out, but still the price is too high in my mind. Typical Caroni with added wood and smoke and a medium finish.

Nose feels tied up and while it is quite intensive, there is not too much expression to it. Same holds true overall. There are just not as many layers as you are used to in a (good) Caroni.

Gutes, typisches 98er Profil.
