“To be honest, this one is better than expected. A relatively sweet nose consisting mainly of caramel. Also spicy and woody. The palate is also sweet in the form of caramel, honey and chocolate.”

“A sweet rum with a strong bourbon barrel influence (apple, caramel, vanilla). There is also a hint of smoke, which you have to like. For me, this is always borderline. Drinking strength is quite good.”

“Privateer seems often to attend the typical US consumer, having a Rum that is appealing to those who during Bourbon and the likes. This one is solid, nothing extraordinary, with a Bourbon and citrus note. Alcohol is noticeable, but it does go well with some water. The fi ish, unfortunately, is quite short.”
