It was distilled in 2003 from Molasses and then aged for 16 years 5mo. The rum has an ABV of 60,4%. Very mild and pleasantly sweet on the nose, slightly syrupy. This is paired with fruit, some wood and a slight hint of smoke. On the palate very pleasantly fruity, spicy, vanilla, plus wood and again very slightly smoky.

To be honest, I would have rated this rum much higher, but it can't do much. The young age may make you feel like you're being taken for a ride, but don't fall for it, it needs to be stored for longer. That's just the way it is :-)
