This rum is similar to the 1997 but has a slightly different profile. A very full nose with lots of spice and fruit, especially if left to rest for a while. On the palate there are lots of flavours and with each sip you discover more. The finish is long and a little herbal, which I like a lot. A great rum with a nice price tag.
Had to write down this tasting since this was my first Plantation Rum i bought and my bottle is almost empty right now.. Can‘t tell too much about the rum itself as the older Plantation‘s came with much less information than nowadays. Anyway.. A nice light golden color comes with a very fruity and exotic nose and some vanilla. The taste and the finish keep up to the nose with peach, grape and pineapple. In the backround some herbs and spices rounding it up while the Rum goes slowly down the throat. Very round and not too sweet at all.
