How does this rum taste?
The 24 Years Cask Strength Rum from Panama, selected by El Ron del Artesano, showcases a mature blend of flavors aged in port wine casks. Bottled at a robust 53.9% ABV, it offers a spicy aroma with mocha, barrel, and fruity notes. On the palate, rich cocoa, mocha, and toasted flavors are prominent, accompanied by a hint of red wine sweetness. While praised for its complexity and smoothness, some users find the port finish overly dominant. Overall, it's a distinctive Panamanian rum with a balanced yet bold profile, ideal for those seeking deep, barrel-influenced tastes. RumX users emphasize the subtle integration of cask notes and the slightly controversial port wine influence, giving it a unique character and appeal.
