REV trifft auf Kräutertee…das Marque bleibt erkennbar, aber eher aussergewöhnliche grüne Noten treten in den Vordergrund. Trockene Pflaume, Holz und Würze geben ein Stelldichein mit Kräutern, Tee und leichten Tabakanklängen. Sehr spannendes Profil, aber aufgrund der grünen Noten in meiner subjektiven Wertung nicht ganz vorne im 1994er REV-Umfeld.

Great increase to the last REV bottling. Immensely well integrated alcohol that rubs all the flavors around the palate. Beautiful reddish color. Fresh herbs, pleasant fruit (plum), pure oak from nose to finish simply delicious.

Nose is already very woody but there is still some herbaceous freshness. In the mouth then very woody, astringent, from the fresh herbs has remained only some tobacco. Then comes the all overlaying, intense licorice note that remains in the mouth for minutes. I don't like licorice 🤷♂️ Clearly too woody for my tasteRusty together with the two RA 2004 and the SBS 2006. This 1994 REV falls a bit off the grid, on one hand the herbaceousness of the 2004, on the other the dried fruit from the 2006. For me, it's all the same marrow, even if this one has a special position thanks to its age and lots of wood.

Complex and powerful on the nose and palate. Dried plum, herbs, spices and strong barrel aromas alternate. The alcohol is wonderfully integrated. We really enjoyed it. Great rum!

Typical Versailles profile but very well balanced between bitterness (cofee, wood, dark chocolate) and sweetness (dried fruits, liquorice). A solid release from Rum Artesanal 💪

Very good Enmore REV. (more or less same smells, tastes as the 2020 version) Leather, Tobacco, black tea, wood, dried fruits in the nose. Complex and delicious in mouth, where you‘ll find all the tastes from before. Finish is medium long, dry and very elegant. Alcohol is not integrated as good as in the 2020 version. 3rd place of my enmore tasting!

I have started on bottle number two :-) A great rum with a flavour profile literally jumping you from the glass once poured. Very fruity from nose to finish with roasted oak to it. Only slightly dry which only compliments the profile. A great rum even considering the price.

Un Enmore fantastique dont on ressent tout le vieillissement et la complexité. Le nez exhibe des arômes de fruits secs, de prunes et de fruits rouges, avant de laisser place aux notes d’herbes, d’épices, des notes sombres et empyreumatiques de noix torréfiées, de tabac et de café. Le cuir et les notes florales complètent ce profil parfaitement équilibré. L’attaque en bouche est intense, chaude sur les épices et le piment, les notes rôties, le tabac, le boisé, le cacao et les fruits à coque, on ressent toujours les fruits secs et la prune, les notes herbeuses et florales. L’alcool est parfaitement intégré. La finale, extrêmement longue, continue sur le même profil avec une pointe d’amertume et de fraîcheur. Un rhum envoûtant, qui délivre une formidable expérience olfactive et gustative.

Déjà le nez est un pur bonheur. Demerara sombre, profond. Arômes de pruneaux, de réglisse et très végétal. En bouche le boisé est très présent, normal vu l'âge de la bête mais il laisse de l'espace au reste. C'est un grand demerara. Merci Chris!

Betörender Duft im Raum, herrlich! Nase: holzig-würzig-fruchtig. Intensiv und komplex, nicht verschlossen. Die Fruchtigkeit erinnert an reife Blutorange mit etwas Kirsche und Cassis. Da kommt etwas karamelliges, harziges und ledriges. Leichte Holzsäure mit einem Hauch Menthol. Im direkten Vergleich wirkt der alte REV ein klein wenig karamelliger, ansonsten schwer auseinander zu halten… Gaumen: dunkel-röstig-würzig-holzig. Salzig-bitter zunächst, dann Holzsäure, intensiv und komplex. Dahinter Muskat mit Dörrpflaume. Stark getoastet mit Haselnuss. Der alte scheint ein my ausgewogener. TOP!

Tolle Nase, viel Minze und Holz aber auch noch melasse und sehr komplex. Sehr langes Finish, einzig ein wenig zu abstringend am Gaumen und für die 53% vielleicht ein wenig zu scharf. Muss man probiert haben, aber für meinen Liebling reicht es nicht

Wieder eine Bombe! REV ist ein außergewöhnlich gutes Mark, wie ich finde. Diese Abfüllung liefert mehr Kräuter, Tabak, Fass und Leder als die des letzten Jahres. Die getrockneten Früchte erscheinen mehr Rosinen als Dörrpflaumen zu sein, wenn auch eine gewisse Pflaumennote trotzdem präsent ist. Auf dem GRF im direkten Vergleich zu seinem Vorgänger wirkte dieser etwas runder, weniger bitter und vielleicht insgesamt harmonischer, wobei beide sich auf extrem hohem Niveau bewegen. Allerdings sollte dabei auch beachtet werden, dass die alte Abfüllung bereits ein halbes Jahr offen stand.

Wie bereits Batch 1 ist auch dieser RA Enmore ein großer Wurf. Schöne rote und gelbe Fruchtnoten, Pflaume, Karamell, Gewürze. Im Abgang kommen Röstnoten zum Vorschein.

Für meinen Geschmack viel zu starke Kräuter, medizinische, Eukalyptus-Aromen und zu holzig. Zumindest im Geruch sogar Wacholder/ Gin. Im Abgang bitter. Da haben mir die vergleichbaren Rums aus dem Guyana-Tasting von S.B.S. viel besser geschmeckt.
