“Rhum 970 is an Agricole produced by Engenhos do Norte in Madeira. This vintage, 2010, is possible to find at at least two different agings after what I’ve found out. One is bottled in 2018 and one is bottled in 2021. Which one you buy or have can be read on the backside label. Overall an quite interesting rum that could have been even better at an higher ABV.”

“27.02.2021 A nice blind tasting in a friend's home. Bottles covered in tin foil and only numbers to match up the glass with the bottle. This bottle was actually brought back the week before from a trip to the island where it was produced. I have since grown to like their releases and my friend brings home several bottles twice a year when they have vacation on Madeira. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh and intense, wood, faint smoke, vanilla, light caramel, fruity, plum. Palate Intense, warm, wood, sugarcane, fruity, light floral, faint chocolate, medium spicy, light pear, plum. Finish Long and warm, wood, roasted, dried fruit, light chocolate.”
