How does this rum taste?
The Ron Espero Reserva Extra Ultimo is a Dominican Republic rum, selected by Albert Michler Distillery and aged for 20 years. Distilled from molasses, it features a complex scent of raisin, caramelized notes, vanilla, cotton candy, and subtle honey. The robust taste profile is dominated by candied, caramel, sweet vanilla, and treacle tones. While some reviewers find its pronounced sweetness delightful, others feel it overshadows the rum's potential complexity. The rum exhibits a medium to long-lasting finish, appealing particularly to sweet rum enthusiasts. Its sweetness and affordability make it a popular choice for introducing new drinkers to rum or crafting cocktails.

Quite sweet. No lasting impression
A quite reasonable rum in my opinion. Luminously sweet with notes of caramel and vanilla, but not over the top. Definitely a medium-priced rum that I can recommend. Tastes very good neat.
The taste is complex, sweet, toffee, milk chocolate, hop sweetness, vanilla, fruit - Long-lasting finish
Sweet rum, the opposite of complex, but drinkable. But then a little expensive.
