How does this rum taste?
- Viel Honig, Pfeffer, Kräuter und Minze
- Fruchtig, Vanille, cremig, elegant
- Fantastische und angenehm dreckige Nase
Chairman’s Reserve Master’s Selection (Evanius Harris) is a rum where overripe banana, honey, and pineapple leap from the glass, often joined by a sharp herbal and minty side. Many talk about its “vielfältige Nase” (Martin Augustin) and “tolle Aromen” (Rene Pfeiffer). While the palate tends to be spicy, herbal, and accented by caramel and wood, the balance between fruit and a menthol-laced finish is what sets it apart. There’s recurring talk about St. Lucia’s funk, a touch of gummi or medicinal edge, and even a nod to tea and chocolate in the finish for some.

"1. Tasting: Wow, Funk! Got Esters, Banana, Ananas. However, there is plenty left in this sample, so I will update with more detail at a later point. What I can say already: I like it! 2. Tasting: this happened after a while, and after having a bit of Agricole, so the initial difference in taste was quite appreciated. However, I found the rum to be a bit too sharp in its alcohol burn at the finish line, this time. 3. Tasting: this sample was 10cl. 😉 It is still quite sharp in the alcoholic burn, and leaves a slight metallic taste. I am a bit disappointed by it, as it starts really promising."
"Still a little rough on the nose. Intense and spicy on the palate. The alcohol could be a little better integrated. Nevertheless, a very good representative of the St. Lucia style. Those who like a little more power will get their money's worth here."
Lecker!"
