“This vintage boasts a beautiful golden-brown colour On the nose, extravagant tropical fruits magnify a vanilla-caramelized background! In the background are spices, particularly peppery. It's sweet but attractive, with the cherry flavors I love so much about JM. On the palate, it's soft, creamy and very well balanced. Fruit (cherry-apple-pear) leads the way, accompanied by notes of mocha, tannins and pepper. The bitter finish has a taste of burnt wood (normal after 21 years of tropical aging) and cinnamon. I didn't find JM's usual greediness in the mouth on this selection, a bit like the selection made recently by Nectar for their 15th anniversary. Too bitter a profile for my taste. I've still got 2-3 cl left in the bottle, so I'll be able to enjoy it again in a different context...”
