Cracked open the next 3 samples from my present. This is a very nice Neisson and the price tag is pretty much spot on compared to what you get. Fruity and fresh with nice spices and roasted/smoky wood.
My first bottle of a Neisson Rhum. When I tried it for the first time, I thought it was very good, but now I have to qualify this somewhat. It's still a good agricole which, despite its elegance, is somewhat sharp on the palate and has a very simple, woody, toasty finish.
Auto-translatedAt the beginning, I think a Caroni got lost in the glass.😅A very balanced, not particularly dirty one. With some breathing, Neisson-typical cookie dough and macaroons come in. Great, complex and balanced nose. Surprisingly mature for its age. Very powerful considering the alcohol content. Very watery and thin in the mouth, before great notes linger on the palate in the finish. I've noticed this peculiar effect several times with Neisson. A great, still very young Neisson, which appears as Caroni at the beginning. An absolute recommendation.
