Mohan Meakin Distillery Old Monk Supreme 7 Years Old Blended
Most like it as a cheap, sweet vanilla-heavy mixer. Critics find it artificial, harsh and shallow. Consensus: fun with cola, underwhelming and synthetic when sipped neat.
Those who enjoy sweet, vanilla-forward rums in rum-and-cola or simple longdrinks and don’t mind artificial flavoring if the price is low.

How does this rum taste?
Sweet vanilla cola-mixer rum
If you like sweet, vanilla-heavy rums with cola and care more about price than purity or depth, this will do the job; as a neat sipper, it disappoints.
Enthusiasts seeking natural-tasting, complex sipping rum or anyone avoiding sweetened, strongly flavored profiles.

The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

Brought by a friend in a plastic bottle (!) from India. I was expecting something nasty, but it wasn't that bad. Less sweet than expected. You can even find a few different flavors, but the colleague remains boring, without depth and has an artificial aftertaste. Will give it a try as a mixer.
A rum whose bottle was brought to me by chance from India by my father, and which I discovered belatedly. This is a very sweet, vanilla molasses rum, whose main interest, in my opinion, lies in the smoky, toasty note that appears on the finish. I have fond memories of it. I'd probably enjoy it less today.
I use this rum for rum and cola with a squeeze of lime. It can also be used in a rum grogg if you have a cold.
