„Nase: Der Alkohol ist kaum wahrnehmbar! Es überwiegen holzige würzige Noten, sehr angenehm mild. Am Gaumen ist der Rum cremig weich und verteilt sich gut im Mundraum! Es überwiegen wieder holzigen Töne, leicht bitter und etwas Teergeschmack! Auch hier ist der Alkoholgehalt kaum spürbar! Ihm haftet etwas leicht speckig, geröstetes an. Im Abgang setzt sich die holzige würzige Note fort! Er bleibt so mittellang ..... Ein guter Rum, aber für mich nicht überragend und deshalb m. E. zu teuer“

„In der Nase gleich getrocknete, geschwefelte Aprikose, Kirsch-Essig, metallisch. Pfirsich-Aromen, holzig, Tabak, Leder. Frisch geöffnete Kakaopulver Dose. Gut eingebundener Alkohol. Am Gaumen intensiv, schnell in Richtung würzig, Tabak und Leder. Jetzt auch etwas dreckig, röstig. Metallisch, dann aber auch schnell wieder Weg. Leder im Abgang. Insgesamt schön und gefällig. Alkohol gut eingebunden.“

„Typical tar/ash notes for Caroni. An inviting fruitiness (all the berries). Not so much Diesel this time. More leaning towards the red fruits than the "chemical notes". Maybe not the heaviest and most typical Caroni. But all in all very very tasty. Nicely balanced and complex. I might get a bottle of this.“

„Nase: recht mild, fruchtig, süß, dazu Leder, rauchig und eine Messerspitze Gummi Gaumen:süß, rauchig,dunkle Schokolade,Leder, röstig und ein wenig Gummi Abgang:Mittellang, geprägt durch den Gaumen,dazu ein paar Beeren unf Ingwer Der SBS hat mir besser gefallen,durch die deutlicheren Caronigene im Mund,auch wenn die Nase mir hier leicht vorn lag. Im Vergleich war der Abgang vom SBS auch extrem lang.“

„Sehr ausgewogener Caroni, welcher in der Nase schön rund wirkt. Am Gaumen sehr viel Fasseinfluss. Evtl. etwas zu viel. Die Tannine sind sehr deutlich und die Bitterstoffe präsent. Trotzdem schön trocken und die typischen Caroni Noten sind da. Angenehm dreckig ohne zu präsent zu sein. Ausgewogen. Alkohol gut integriert. Gefällt mir, auch wenn er nicht an andere Abfüllung in der Preisklasse von Bristol oder Kill Devil ganz dran kommt.“

„Farbe: Goldbraun Geruch: Süß nach Orange bzw. Orangenkuchen, nach Toffee, Leder, Lakritze und Gummi. Geschmack: Im Mund würziger Toffee, dann etwas Orange und Waldhonig. Wird dann immer würziger und schärfer. Beim Schlucken sehr kräftig im Geschmack, würzig-scharf mit Ingwer und Pfeffer, Lakritze und Leder Abgang: Lang Wärmt von tief innen. Schmeckt im Abgang nach altem Fass und Ingwer. 89 Punkte“
