“This Caroni kicks off with fruit and spices and once it has rested it release tar, caramel and light rubber. The palate is equally convincing with fruits and smoky wood and spices followed by chocolate and a wonderful floral note. The finish is very long with smoky wood and tropical fruits, spices and again the blissful floral note.”

“In the glass I am initially surprised: In this Caroni I smell pronounced fruity notes, which I do not necessarily associate with the brand. It resonates to the honor but also a touch of machine hall, but really only subtly. Imagine peeling a tangerine at night at a gas station. In the mouth, I clearly taste burnt sugar, some licorice and lots of wood. Overall, the rum only lingers on the tongue for so medium length.
