„This one scored a bit less than the previous one, but it's still a very good rum. The nose is lightly fruity with a more vegetal and grassy note. Like walking in the moores in the morning. There is also spice and wet tobacco as well and a hint of oak. The palate is a bit sweet, complex and oily (draws nice curtains) with fruit and earthy notes. Tobacco and smoky oak is here as well and compliments the overall palate. The finish is long with tobacco and smoky oak and in the back i pick up some peat.“

„Savanna Wild Island "Baleine". Il s'agit d'un "agricole" single cask brut de fût titrant à 57.6 degrés vieilli pendant 6 ans et affiné en fût de Calvados. 👃 : Le 1er nez est sec, le solvant et la colle apparaissent puis des notes de fruits secs et de bois s'invitent. Il me rappelle le Longueteau XO Carafe en plus viril. S'en suivent la pomme, le chocolat et la liqueur façon mon chéri laissent place à la colle. L'affinage en fût de calva est bien reconnaissable. 👄 : En bouche, les fruits secs dominent puis arrivent des notes herbacées, de noix, de pomme et d'Iode en fin de bouche. La finale est moyenne mais l'alcool est très bien intégré. Je préfère clairement les savanna Grand Arôme et Tradi mais cet Agricole est réussi pour un 6 ans. Son prix de sortie pour un 50cl me parais trop élevé. Note : 81/100. Je précise que pour moi un rhum qui dépasse les 80/100 est un très bon rhum. ;-) Insta @ccajerem“

„Voici un rhum agricole brut de fut affiné en fut de calvados venant de la Réunion. Un profil atypique pour cet île qui produit principalement du rhum traditionnel fait à base de mélasse. On peut dire que la distillerie Savanna peut faire preuve de créativité en proposant, en plus de l'agricole et traditionnel, un rhum grand arome. Au nez on retrouve bien sur la pomme avec des odeurs de tarte tatin agrémenté d'amandes effilés. En bouche, une tecture "huileuse" avec la pomme qui se fait plus présente. On reste sur quelque chose de très douce malgré les watts qui lui donnent une belle longueur.“
