How does this rum taste?
RumX members love this New Yarmouth 2009 for its vibrant ester-driven funk and ripe pineapple-banana fruit, wrapped in creamy marzipan and cookie dough notes. Despite 65.7% ABV, many praise the smooth integration and enjoyable sipping, sometimes with a light saline edge. A few mention solvent-forward aromas and a touch of astringency, yet it remains a popular, great-value limited release with strong community confidence.

Very nice bottling out of the New Yarmouth 2009 range with high intensity on the nose and palate. Classic cookie dough notes with sweetness and some fruits. For me actually even a bit better than the RA single cask bottling.
Some people are already familiar with the 2009 vintage of New Yarmouth. For my part, I like these bottlings. In direct comparison to the 2009 New Yarmouth from TWJ, this RA is much wilder, has more funk and a much longer finish. I like it a little more. Second tasting (+4 points)
super brilliant part, mMn better than the first JNY of RA. Alcohol is clearly better incorporated and taste it has become much more complex and milder, flavors of nuts, cookie dough
#4 RumXHighE(a)ster weeks: Blind tasting: C<>H 20 years of aging 55-60% high ester First taste, reminds me immediately of a C<>H Result: Lovely fruity, esterbomb. The alcohol is integrated very well. Still not on the level of 94‘
