Savanna The Wild Island Edition - Mer 2003
Highly praised for its dry, Armagnac-driven profile with intense grape, dried fruit and smoky oak, offering good length and complexity for experienced palates.
Fans of dry, oak-driven rums and Armagnac or whisky drinkers who enjoy smoky barrel notes, dried fruits and a more serious, structured Savanna profile.

How does this rum taste?
Dry, Armagnac-smoky Savanna sipper
If you enjoy drier, spirit-forward rums or Armagnac finishes, this Savanna rewards attention with smoky grape and oak complexity, but it won’t satisfy those chasing sweet tropical fruit bombs.
Those who prefer sweet, easy sippers, beginners sensitive to 50%+ ABV, or drinkers who dislike dry, woody bitterness and pronounced cask influence.

Yesterday we had a Savanna tasting evening and went through 5 and it was a pleasant surprise. The nose on this one was fruity with anise some caramel and wonderful smoky oak. The palate is well balanced and also fruity with spices, some toffee and again the smoky oak. The finish is fairly long and spicy with dried fruit and roasted oak.
Superbe Savanna bien marqué par l’armagnac. Belle gourmandise
Le finish Armagnac apporte une belle gourmandise mais ça n'est pas trop à mon gout.
