Better add the tastings of last week before the tasting tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm still very far behind on my old tastings, but comes time comes ratings 😉 This is a young rum and you can taste it. Basically the palate delivers far more than the nose. Overall a very good rum at the price tag.
Nose: High ester flows towards you, with grilled pineapple, solvent/turpentine Palate: The rum spreads creamy and the ester note dominates, plus young wood towards the end, slightly bitter and metallic! The finish is of medium length and the young wood predominates The rum would have benefited from a little more ageing, but still very good overall Tasted again today in the RumX calendar: My 1st tasting was confirmed again, although I find it considerably rounder today than last time!
Extrem leckeres Release. Das junge Alter lässt den Früchten viel Raum, ebenso präsent macht sich aber die opulente Süsse von frischen Keksen, Vanille und Sahnetoffee. Ein Hauch Milchsäure, etwas Holz und knackige Gewürzschärfe. High Ester in einem lebendigen Holz funktioniert bei kurzer Lagerung schon beeindruckend gut. Richtig lecker, ohne langweilig zu werden.
