The Pot Still Guyana PDW rum from Cadenhead's, distilled by Demerara Distillers Ltd in 1972, is a vintage molasses-based spirit. Aged for 29 years and bottled at a robust 60.9% ABV, this rum offers a complex aroma with predominant notes of vanilla, caramel, and coconut. Its flavor profile showcases intense caramel, licorice, and a hint of citrus followed by nougat and oak. Users praise its balance and richness, though some find it a bit too sweet and less complex compared to other Demerara rums. This is a masterpiece which comes with a pretty heavy price tag. It's well worth it though, so if you find one I suggest you give it a go. Your first challenge would be to find one though. Bottled in 2002 you will probably have to get it on an auction. A wonderful Cadenhead and in my mind one of the best ones from them.
