This is a great bottle from the destillery that started in 2006. It's a full yet feagile rum which is really elegant and asking for seconds ad thirds. Very long and warm finish.
I believe it was around 2013 that St. Nicholas Abbey started distilling and there older rums are aged on site but were distilled at Foursquare. Therefore I believe this rum was distilled at Foursquare. On first sniff this is wildly different to the 5 year from St. Nicholas Abbey. It is very woody and roasted. At 15 years of tropical ageing that may be no surprise. It follows up with vanilla, coconut and banana. The palate adds some raisin, toffee, spices (maybe clove and pepper). Short finish. Would score a little higher with a touch higher ABV I think.
