How does this rum taste?
A1710 La Perle is an unaged agricultural rum from the Habitation du Simon distillery in Martinique, distilled from sugarcane juice using a column still at 54.5% ABV. This rum presents a complex profile with notes of sugarcane, citrus, and floral aromas. The palate reveals a harmonious blend of sugarcane, fresh flavors, and peppery undertones, concluded by a warm, fruity finish. Users appreciate its freshness, rounded taste, and excellent balance. The unique flavor combinations, like a hint of truffle and slight medicinal notes, are noteworthy, but may be polarizing for some. Prized for its quality-to-price ratio, A1710 La Perle delivers an intriguing taste of Martinique's rum craftsmanship.

A rum tasted at Rhum Fest in 2024. The nose is highly aromatic, with lots of fruit, citrus and herbaceous notes. The palate is marked by lemon and other citrus fruits, with a spiciness that is not very present on the nose. A very fine rum marked by its distinctive aromas.
Considering the price tag this is a very nice rum. You get a lot for your money actually. The nose is fresh, well rounded and fruity with sugarcane and light floral and medicinal notes. The palate is fresh and well balanced with fruit and sugarcane trailed by pepper and a light medicinal note. Some may consider the palate spicy as well. The finish is medium to long, warm and fruity with sugarcane. Price to quality is extremely good.
Un rhum vraiment très original et plutôt réussi.
whacky. Green olives, fresh coriander, iodine, polish, and unripe strawberries on the nose. then in the taste salty, fruity, bitter, bacon & olives and then again strawberries and coriander and pineapple. actually reminds me of those pineberrys (a white strawberry cross that tastes like pineapple). pretty cool! in the finish everything repeats again with X types of pepper and overripe strawberry with cilantro and bacon. reminds me a bit of mexican cuisine 😅 in the daiquiri he then comes really fat and shows what Martinique can! 💪⚡
