#4245 08.09.2023 I got 6 secret samples from a friend as a blind tasting and that has been a lot of fun spread over two evenings. Another very fresh Agricole where the price to quality is very good. Also a fruity rum with nice flavours of the cane used. Lightly dry palate and a medium finish. I would gmhave liked a higher ABV because I think it would have benefitted the overall profile. 8 noticed that the longer it rested the more flavours were revealed. The empty glass has some nougat like flavour and strawberry.
A wood-aged rum that combines the influence of wood with the vegetal character of cane. The nose reveals herbal and fruity notes. The palate is fairly dry, with more spice and bite. The finish, medium in length, returns to more floral notes and leaves an aftertaste of hay, like an earthy mark. A young rum that could gain in complexity.
