27.11.2020 Tasting at this old hotel meeting a lot of new people. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Intense, wood, light citrus, faint chocolate, raisin, faint anise. Palate Intense, wood, fruity, earthy, light licorice, tea, light chocolate. Finish Wood, grapes, light citrus, light licorice, light earthy, tea.
Different variant of the 1977 (see my photo). Extremely woody rum. Probable French oak, I get a lot of that specific acidity in this. Its overdone though. Too old too much wood, but still interesting. I'm not too sensitive when it comes to woodiness but I understand this would be too much for most. It was fun to try.
