How does this rum taste?
Ron Carioca Puerto Rican Rum - Tropical Heavy-Bodied is a bold yet polarizing spirit crafted in Puerto Rico from molasses via a Column Still, boasting a high 45% ABV. Our RumX community notes its sweet, coconut aroma laced with burnt sugar and vanilla, though many find its flavor profile leaning towards synthetic, overly sweet, and bitter notes with hints of dried apricot and brown sugar. While its unique character and intriguing complexity capture the interest of some rum lovers, others feel it strays too far from traditional rum expressions. This rum offers an unconventional tasting journey reflective of its tropical origins and heavy-bodied style.

06.12.2024 The liquid History of Puerto Rico Tasting First of all, many thanks to Artur for the extreme effort and for sharing such old rums at all. Apart from a few exceptions, the rums themselves weren't really that great, BUT I still really enjoyed it, because you don't get to taste rums like this any more as a normal mortal and I find all this background knowledge that Artur shared incredibly interesting. I really take my hat off to him. Big respect!
Oh i was so looking forward to this 1950s weirdo. how dissapointing the heavily sugard content is. Artificial vanilla, artificial sweetness, cheap vabilla pudding, wit coconut shavings and alcohol. Just so weird. Daiquiri: 0/5 Artificial and ewww. This went in the drain.
