“Trockene Eiche und super schöne Bitternoten vom Holz. Die Kräuternote wird im Abgang stärker und harmoniert gut mit Brombeere und Pflaume davor. Untermalt mit getrockneten Früchten. Man kann über Double Cask Aging bzw. Finishes ja sagen was man will, aber hier macht es einen komplexen, relativ schweren Rum rund und zugänglich ohne seine Qualität zu mindern. Eigentlich genau das was so ein Special Cask erreichen soll.”

“I finally got to this rum, and I was not disappointed. It is very dark and sweet, a fruity note I identify as cherry. The sweetness does not overpower the rum, and the high ABV also helps to deliver the taste. The finish brings more wood and some spicyness, which is nice.”
