The rum needs some water, otherwise it is too strong and a touch unbalanced. Sugar cane, brioche, great integrated wood maturity, tobacco. Very nice, pronounced peach notes. In the mouth complex spice bazaar. The finish is ultra great. Very nice licorice. A great, mature Bielle. Highest craftsmanship, powerful and perfectly balanced.
Excellent Agricole rum in cask strength. I am fascinated. Addendum: Photo Addendum 2: after a year, I have emptied the last of the sample. Still super Agricole, beautifully complex aromas of wood, spices and a balanced sweetness.
A Bielle that looks like a Martinique. Big woody, a lot of spices, it is really very good
Another nice release from Bielle. Typical high quality that of course comes at a price. However the price is pretty good considering what you get. The nose is there from pouring into the glass. A lightly sweet nose with roasted coffee followed by caramel, chocolate and vanilla. There is a very light touch of raisin as well. The palate is complex and well balanced. Roasted oak noted with a light sweetness to it. Then chocolate, caramel and spices. In the lighter notes after resting I find licorice and dried fruit. There is a very light bitter note but it doesn't interfere at all. The finish has roasted oak and raisin followed by light licorice.
