How does this rum taste?
The Jamaica Rum from New Yarmouth Distillery, bottled by Cave Guildive, is a 12-year-old pot still expression distilled from molasses in 2005. It boasts a high 68% ABV, offering a complex nose of citrus, glue, and tropical fruit with estery overtones. The taste is a robust combination of glue, tropical fruits, spice, and a hint of pineapple. Users note its intense, well-balanced profile, marked by high ester content reminiscent of classic New Yarmouth expressions. Though powerful and punchy, some find the alcohol slightly overpowering. 100% new Yarmouth DNA. an der Nase kommt direkt brutal viel Zitrus wie Mandarine zur Geltung! einfach nur geil, mit etwas mehr frische und mehr tropischen Früchten als die anderen 2 NY aus dem Jahrgang aber der prägnante keksteig ist noch da, wenn auch etwas mehr im Hintergrund wie bei den anderen 2 NY des gleichen Jahrgangs 🤤❤️ insgesamt empfind ich diesen hier als sehr winterlich mit Mandarine, Makronen und Ingwerplätzchen Noten. sehr geil auf jeden Fall! absolut auf Augenhöhe mit SBS und CDI und Tagesform Abhängig welcher einem da am besten schmeckt. jeder hat seine Vorzüge!😅
This one is the hammer, wow. The funny thing I noticed is the nose. Depending on how far the glass is from your nose you'll pick up different flavours. On the table it's fruity but getting closer to your nose the chemical part takes over. The wood is very light actually and mixes very well with the rest. A very intense and well balanced NY in my mind.
Eine Granate. Wahnsinns Geschmacksbombe. Sehr viel Fruchtester. Mandarinen, Marzipan. Die 68% haben es in sich aber es lohnt sich.
