How does this rum taste?
Neisson’s Fût Unique (Japan Import System) gets plenty of appreciation from the RumX crowd for its dried fruit – mainly raisin – and classic sugarcane backbone, lifted by nutmeg and oak. "Very fruity with oak and spice. Very smooth on the palate" (@Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰); others highlight its fresh, grassy punch, with suggestions of toasted, nutty wood in both aroma and flavor. "Such a good balance of fruits and spices" (@Jussi Piirainen) mirrors the consensus. Some find unfamiliar but fascinating flavors from the bourbon barrel, all held together by a round, silky mouthfeel.

One of the perks of being married to a Japanese is that once in a while she brings home exciting rums. This is one of them and it's a great one. Very fruity with oak and spice. Very smooth on the palate and a wonderful finish. There is something surprisingly fresh from nose to finish.
The soft grass flavor is spot on. The aroma is buttery and cheesy, but the flavor is spot on. It's really good.
