How does this rum taste?
Most love the bold peat, smoke and whisky character layered over Fiji fruit. Critics find the whisky finish overpowering and un-rum-like. Consensus: a well-made, polarizing peat experiment.
If you enjoy peated Islay whisky and want to see how that character collides with funky Fiji rum, this bottle delivers exactly that smoky, experimental crossover vibe.
Newcomers to rum, anyone who dislikes peaty or medicinal whisky notes, and purists seeking clean, undistorted Fiji fruit without dominant smoke influence.

Rum on the side! It smells like fermented molasses with lots of fruit flavors and the palate yo-yo's on the peat, with great length. So the bottle was almost empty, but great product. I don't understand the low scores!
Wow, what a slap in the face! The whisky rum mix is crazy! To sum up, my tasting notes: Nose: Smoky, Phenolic Mouth: Peat, Smoke, Intense, Dry, Bacon Finish: Peat, Smoke, Tropical fruit
I just can't do anything with whiskey finishes. However, this one is well done and fits the concept.
