How does this rum taste?
RumX members love the bold Islay peat from the Kilchoman finish, wrapped around Fiji’s tropical fruit and ester character. Expect smoky, woody aromas with roasted tones, then whisky-leaning flavors of peat, bacon and oak, finishing long. Frequently praised as a whisky–rum crossover that appeals to whisky drinkers. With 48 community reviews and a limited 144-bottle release, it’s a distinctive sipper worth exploring.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Rum on the side! It smells like fermented molasses with lots of fruit flavors and the palate yo-yo's on the peat, with great length. So the bottle was almost empty, but great product. I don't understand the low scores!
Wow, what a slap in the face! The whisky rum mix is crazy! To sum up, my tasting notes: Nose: Smoky, Phenolic Mouth: Peat, Smoke, Intense, Dry, Bacon Finish: Peat, Smoke, Tropical fruit
I just can't do anything with whiskey finishes. However, this one is well done and fits the concept.
Ashtray, in smell, in taste in everything. I've never had anything smokier. The expression of the cask in this case is very, very intense. Super fiji, super plantation. Even after ten minutes, you get the feeling that you've just finished smoking
