Plantation Jamaica "Addict" VRW rum is crafted at Long Pond and Clarendon distilleries in Jamaica, selected by Maison Ferrand and bottled at a robust cask strength of 61.4% ABV. Distilled from molasses in 2009 and aged for 10 years, this rum exhibits an aromatic profile of yellow and tropical fruits, with hints of banana and cognac. The taste leans towards spiciness, with concentrated and intense woody notes followed by almond undertones. A magnificent rum, very fine with a nice alcoholic integration.we are very far from the Jamaican ones which are carried on the glue, the solvents and the too ripe fruits... The aromatic is not so complex but very pleasant, very "cognac". This rum requires a good aeration and especially to come back regularly throughout the evening because its profile is refined with time. The final is very long, which multiplies tenfold the pleasure of the tasting!
