"It did not impress me at all. Disappointing. Too much alcohol and anonymous aromas. It remains a pleasant after-meal rum, but uninteresting for tasting at a certain level. I expected more from a well reviewed rum...I probably failed to understand it."

"Delicious blend. Nice how the 5 percent Jamaica still comes through well. Superbly integrated alcohol. But perhaps a little too musty in parts, almost peaty. Edit: When I drink it first or directly after something milder like a Barbados rum, I really like it. After a sip of Hampden, however, it becomes musty on the nose and on the palate Guyana completely takes over, the otherwise beautiful Jamaican note is lost and turns a complex blend for the price into a much flatter thing."
