Un Caroni plus subtil avec le vieillissement entre Trinidad et Guyana. Cette influence se retrouve au nez, avec d’un côté les notes de goudron et de caoutchouc, de boisé et de cuir, puis les notes sombres et plus fruitées de l’autre. L’ensemble est homogène et équilibré. Le palais oscille entre la puissance de Caroni (hydrocarbures, caoutchouc, notes fumées) et la douceur de Guyana (chocolat, café, fruits tropicaux), offrant un profil complexe et délicat, étonnamment gourmand et sucré après aération. La finale est plus subtile et mince qu’à l’accoutumé chez Caroni, le profil sombre des rhums de Guyana prenant le dessus ici. Un Caroni plutôt atypique de par son vieillissement, mais un hybride tout en finesse qui se veut complexe et gourmand.
Wow, they just keep scoring high. Again typical Caroni flavours nd once rested you really get the roasted notes. Lightly fruity with vanilla and a bit of caramel. Intense yet well balanced.
