How does this rum taste?
The Bellamy's Reserve High Ester Cask Finish 10th Anniversary Edition, crafted by Perola, is a unique blend originating from multiple countries. Distilled from molasses using both pot and column stills, it's aged 12 years with a high ester content. Limited to only 430 bottles and boasting an ABV of 47.3%, this rum showcases prominent tropical fruit, pineapple, and custard notes. On the palate, it's characterized by creamy, sweet sensations with hints of brown sugar and papaya. Users appreciate its easy-drinking Jamaican profile, though some find it overly sweet with limited complexity.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Phew, pretty indefinable! The sugar almost completely masks the base. A very alcoholic note remains in the finish.
Relaxed easy Jamaica sipper but a little too sweet for me personally.
Really a sweet tooth. A pleasant nose. Like an easy sipper Jamaica. But then it hits the palate. Unfortunately also no real complexity. The Barbados basis really only gets you so far. I would wish that had spent years in there and was not sugared.
Very mild and (almost too) sweet Jamaican
